Paying Attention to the Pre-Swing Fundamentals

Alignment

Presented by: Connie DeMattia

Purpose: The chances of success increase dramatically if a player sets his/her body and ball position properly at address, aims the clubface toward the target and aligns his/her body parts along the line on which the clubface is aimed.

Benefit: Make your practice more productive by setting up a "practice station" prior to hitting balls. By laying clubs on the ground, you can check alignment, ball position and body position.

Drill: Practice Like the Professionals.

Instruction:
Lay down two clubs, one just outside the ball pointing directly at the target, and one along your feet parallel to the first.

Lay a third club just inside your left heel perpendicular to the others.

Note: Ball position may vary depending on club selection.
